golden cloth

This is the cloth that was soaking in the golden rod pot...... I am loving it!

golden rod- i'm trying my hand at using it to dye some muslin. i have a faint golden yellow hue. didnt use a mordant, altho it's in a copperpot. will give it another week, if my patience holds out.

blog thoughts

Choosing the name for this blog was difficult. I was looking for words to describe how I feel when I think of the things I am drawn to. Tactile- I love texture. The layering effect tells a story. And then I thought about how this all comes together and it reminds me of a Poetry. Not in words but in expressing emotion.
I am hoping to take this theory of mine, and turn it into something fabulous.  I will play with cloth, as I start Jude Hill's Spirit Cloth 101 on Aug 15, 2012.  I am beyond excited!!
